The Russell Bedford 35th Annual Global Conference was held in New York City from 17th to 21st October. As one of the 300 offices in 100 countries that make up the network, Lee Green sent Michael Sweeney to represent the firm at the event. Although we’ve been with the network for almost two years this was the first global conference we attended, and a highpoint was the chance to introduce Lee Green to the 200 delegates from around the world.

Here at Lee Green, we are proud to be part of something bigger to bring you the best of the global accounting network. Lee Green & Co were the first South Australian member firm to join the Russell Bedford International team and on 14-15 June, Directors Mike Sweeney and Tom Green attended the Russell Bedford 2018 Asia-Pacific Meeting in Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam.

The end of the 2017/2018 Financial Year is here and we once again look forward to providing our services.

Single Touch Payroll (STP) starts from 1 July 2018 for employers with 20 or more employees and will be expanded to include employers with 19 or less employees from 1 July 2019. STP will require employers to report salary and wages, allowances, deductions, tax and superannuation to the ATO each time you pay employees in line with your current pay cycle.
Employers will require STP ready software and those with STP compliant software can choose to report before 1 July 2019. Most employers will find that commonly available commercial software solutions will be compliant however we recommend that you check with your provider to ensure your software is ready by the relevant start date.

Lee Green is joining forces with fellow accounting services firm Major May on 1 July 2018 to create multiple benefits for clients and staff.
