I have recently returned from Vienna after attending the first face-to-face Russell Bedford Global Conference in 3 years. It is always great to catchup with partners from across the globe and swap notes. Whilst operating businesses in different countries has a variety of challenges, it’s clear that there are more similarities than differences and being involved in discussions across regions has been invaluable.
Russell Bedford International was awarded the title of ‘Wellbeing Initiative of the Year’ at the 2022 International Accounting Bulletin Awards ceremony, which took place at the iconic Waldorf Hilton in London on Wednesday, 29 June 2022.

To celebrate Russell Bedford’s Taking You Further Day this year, we wanted to do something that would bring together staff from across our Australian member firms and get staff at all levels involved in what it means to be part of the RBI network.
We are very pleased to announce that the The Australian Financial Review has named the combined Australian Russell Bedford International firms as number 25 in the top 100 accounting firms across the country. Despite the challenging year on multiple fronts, we are very proud of the Russell Bedford firms across Australia who have all quickly adapted and moved forward. The recognition as number 25 in Australia reflects the strength of the firms around Australia and their continued growth and development.

The 36th Annual Global Conference for Russell Bedford International was held in Sydney over the 23rd to 27th Oct 2019. The hosts were the Sydney firm of Camphin Boston. There were some 79 representatives from across the world attending and with them came 35 non delegates supporting their partners attending. This made for a broad spectrum of personalities to mix amongst. There were firms there that had been members of RBI for as long as we have been in business. It’s wonderful to know that we have all that international expertise and support at our fingertips.

The Russell Bedford 2019 Asia Pacific Annual Conference (APAC) was held in Chennai, India on 11th & 12th July. Hosted by Indian firm Sharp and Tannan, the Conference was attended by over 30 delegates from 12 countries, including Tom Green and Ben Spiers from Lee Green. This was Lee Green’s second attendance at the APAC and provided a great opportunity to further build on relationships forged from the prior year as well as meet new delegates from first time attendees/firms.
The Russell Bedford 35th Annual Global Conference was held in New York City from 17th to 21st October. As one of the 300 offices in 100 countries that make up the network, Lee Green sent Michael Sweeney to represent the firm at the event. Although we’ve been with the network for almost two years this was the first global conference we attended, and a highpoint was the chance to introduce Lee Green to the 200 delegates from around the world.
Here at Lee Green, we are proud to be part of something bigger to bring you the best of the global accounting network. Lee Green & Co were the first South Australian member firm to join the Russell Bedford International team and on 14-15 June, Directors Mike Sweeney and Tom Green attended the Russell Bedford 2018 Asia-Pacific Meeting in Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam.
